Southampton Cruise Parking Guide
Everything you need to know about parking for a cruise from Southampton — official car parks, off-port options, prices and how to save.
Your three parking options
Southampton has three broad parking options for cruise passengers — official on-port, off-port park-and-ride with shuttle, or meet-and-greet where someone parks the car for you. Which one is right for you depends on how long you’re going for, how much luggage you have and how early you want to be at the terminal.
1. Official ABP cruise parking
The ABP (Associated British Ports) car parks sit right next to each terminal. You drop bags, then park, then walk in. Prices in 2026 average around £75 for 7 nights, £100 for 10 nights and £140 for 14 nights. Pre-booking is essential — turn-up rates are sharply higher.
2. Off-port park-and-ride
Operators like ParkBCP and Cruise & Passenger Services run secure car parks 1–3 miles from the terminal, with a complimentary shuttle to your ship. Typically 30–40% cheaper than on-port. Allow an extra 20 minutes.
3. Meet-and-greet (drop & go)
You drive to the terminal, a driver meets you and parks the car for you. You walk straight to the ship. Premium service, premium price.
Better idea: skip the car entirely
Driving from anywhere outside Hampshire usually means a long motorway run on embarkation morning followed by the same drive home at the end of a tiring cruise. For most of our customers, an airport- or home-to-port transfer with viaUNO Cars works out cheaper than the equivalent fuel + parking + wear-and-tear — and you skip the M3 entirely.

Frequently asked questions
How much does cruise parking cost in Southampton?
Official ABP cruise car parks cost roughly £75 for 7 nights, £100 for 10 nights, and £140 for 14 nights. Off-port park-and-ride options (with transfer) start cheaper.
Where do I park for a cruise at Southampton?
ABP runs official car parks directly at each of the four cruise terminals (City, Mayflower, Ocean, Horizon). Off-port operators like Cruise & Passenger Services and parkBCP offer cheaper options with shuttle or meet-and-greet.
Is meet-and-greet parking worth it?
For most cruisers, yes — meet-and-greet means dropping the car at the terminal and walking straight in. Off-port parking is cheaper but adds 15–30 minutes either side.
